The Dave Poteet Trio plays original jazz and Latin music.
The trio is a project of pianist, composer, and arranger Dave Poteet. Dave doesn't follow rules, and neither does Dave's music. He prefers melody to long-winded noodling, and he has a tendency to color outside the lines. Inspired not only by the jazz greats of the past but also by other styles of music such as garage rock, funk, and classical, the trio plays an eclectic brand of jazz that doesn't fit neatly into any one genre.
